Privacy Policy
This policy describes the current PDF Studio app behavior and also documents planned monetization scenarios for later versions. If ads or a paid Pro upgrade are activated in a future release, the live app, in-app disclosures, and Google Play Data safety declaration must be updated before rollout.
Data controller and contact
App name: PDF Studio
Developer / publisher: Vasyl TAR
Privacy and support contact: support@docu-slate.com
Scope of this policy
This policy covers the PDF Studio Android application, including document creation, PDF import, image-to-PDF, page organization, watermarking, splitting, compression, protection, password removal, page numbering, PDF-to-image export, OCR, and related support communication.
Current app behavior
Data the app may handle locally on your device
- PDF files that you import, create, edit, share, or export.
- Images you choose from your gallery or capture for image-to-PDF workflows.
- OCR source files and extracted text created during on-device text recognition.
- PDF passwords or protection values that you manually enter to lock or unlock your own PDF files.
- Document names, timestamps, selected language, and other app settings stored locally to support app functionality.
How the current version uses data
- To import, create, preview, modify, and save PDF and image files within the app's workspace.
- To run OCR locally and allow users to save extracted text back into a PDF.
- To organize, compress, split, watermark, protect, unprotect, and convert PDF files based on user actions.
- To remember language preference and app-local recent file information.
Current transfer and sharing status
Based on the current app build reviewed for release preparation, PDF Studio is intended to work without transmitting your document files, OCR text, or entered PDF passwords to the developer's own servers.
When you deliberately use Android sharing or open a file in another app, that transfer is initiated by you. The receiving app or service then applies its own privacy practices.
Future ads and Pro version planning
A later version of PDF Studio may include monetization features. If those features are enabled, this policy will apply together with any future app update, in-app disclosure, consent flow, and Google Play disclosure published for that release.
Planned advertising model if activated later
- The app may show a banner ad area in supported screens.
- The app may show interstitial advertising during navigation between eligible app windows.
- The currently planned frequency cap is no more than one interstitial after every 5 eligible window opens and no more often than once every 5 minutes.
- If ads are enabled, ad providers may process technical identifiers, app instance information, IP-based network information, consent state, and ad event metadata as required to deliver, measure, limit, or secure ads.
- If legally required in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, a consent mechanism should be shown before personalized ads or non-essential ad processing begins.
Planned Pro version or paid upgrade if activated later
- The app may offer a paid Pro upgrade or other Google Play billing product to unlock additional features.
- Payments would be handled by Google Play or Google Play Billing infrastructure, not directly by the app developer.
- The developer would typically receive entitlement, order, and purchase-validation metadata needed to unlock features, restore purchases, prevent abuse, and provide support, but not full bank card details.
If ads or paid features are activated later, the app's live Google Play Data safety answers must match the shipped code and the active privacy disclosures of that version. This page is not a substitute for updating those release-specific declarations.
Retention and deletion
- Files created or imported in the app remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
- Language preference and app-local settings remain on your device until cleared by you or removed with the app.
- Support emails or direct support messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the issue, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.
Security
PDF Studio is designed as a document utility, so document confidentiality matters. Users should still protect their devices, backups, and exported files because local storage security also depends on the device and any third-party apps used to open or share those files.
Children
PDF Studio is not designed as a child-directed service. It is a general productivity tool and is not specifically targeted at children under 16.
Your rights and questions
If you have a privacy question about the app, contact support@docu-slate.com. Please include enough detail to identify the issue, such as your app version, device model, and a short description of the affected feature.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated when the app changes, when monetization features are added, when support workflows change, or when legal or platform requirements evolve.
